언녕하세요!
It's Day 8
3 more days before we leave Korea to
go back to Singapore.
`
Day 8 is all about university tour.
we went to visit Ewha Woman University (Edae)
and Hong-gik University (Hongdae).
Of course, before we head down
for more shopping trip
we need to have our tummy filled up first.
We went down to Namdaemun again
to have street food for brunch
and the food is really AWESOME!
It was the same store that I used to patronize
when I was there last year.
My sister had their 라변 Ramyeon
while Huimin and I had Tteobokki, Kimbap and Seafood Pancakes.
The food was delicious, cheap and the Ajumma was friendly too.

After filling up our tummy full, we took their
subway down to Hong-gik University (Hongdae)
Hong-gik University
Direction: Hong-gik University (Line 2), Exit 4
Hongdae is famous of it's street styles and trendy place.
They had stretch of shops selling trendy stuffs, such as
caps and accessories. However, it is not really very cheap
but if you don't mind the price and would just purchase
for its trend then it would be worth the purchase.
We took a walk down the lanes of shops
before settling down at Coffee Bean
for breaks before heading over Trick Eye Museum.
Chai Tea Latte
`
Trick Eye Museum is a must go for first-timer to Seoul
and it is much more bigger than the one in Singapore.
You can get a bundle tickets for both Trick Eye Museum
and the Ice Museum. I swear that their Ice Museum
is more fun as compared to our Snow City, which is crap.
(P.S. Let's the photo of Trick Eye Museum speak a thousand words)
The entrance of Trick Eye Museum
After all the fun at Trick Eye Museum,
we hopped over to the freezing minus temperature
Ice Museum
We nearly got freeze to death inside when we
decided not to wear their winter jackets
and thought ours should be enough to beat the cold.
That's why old people always say
聪明就好, 不要 Extra.
We couldn't take the coldness anymore in the Ice Museum
so we leave Trick Eye Museum and continue shopping
along Hongdae. After the fun at both museum, we are hungry
again when we passed by my favourite fried chicken with
tteobokki
Must eat, okay? Super yummy!!
`
It is time to make our way to Ewha Woman University (Edae),
which is on the same line as Hongdae
Ewha Woman University (Edae)
Direction: Ewha Woman University (Line 2), Exit 2
Edae had more budget stuffs as compared to Hongdae and they
sells more girls' stuffs as mainly are the girls
that shop there cause of the university.
This time when I was there, it was really crowded as
we clashed with their off school hours and
everywhere were crowded with people.
I think this trip, I bought a lot of accessories
cause I bought a few from Edae as well.
We did not shopped much in Edae
as most of the shops closed quite early and
there is nothing much to walk anymore so
we made our back to hotel before dinner.
`
We had Yoogane for dinner
as my sister is craving for Dak Galbi and I feel that
Yoogane's Dak Galbi is nicest.
After dinner,
we headed up to Namsan Tower and instead of taking
the lift up to the cable car area, we walked up
the steep slope where Namsan Guesthouse is.
Namsan Tower
Direction: Myeongdong Station (Line 4), Exit 3
Turn left
Walk straight towards the road where Pacific Hotel is situated
Continue your path on the right side
Walk straight till you reach a flight of stairs
Take the flight of stairs and you will reach the foot of the cable car building
Although, it might be a tough journey up
but just take your time, relax and walk up to cable.
We saw quite a number of people walking the same route up with us
so it wasn't that scary at all.
Get your tickets for the cable car
The cable car queue was super long and we waited
at least 20 minutes before we managed
to get into the cable car to bring us up to where the tower is.
After alighting from the cable car, another flight of stairs
before seeing the magnificent Namsan Tower.
I don't like the light colour this time
cause its green and it looks like some horror movie tower.
Lovers' Lock
Wefie before we head up to the observatory deck
Another tickets is needed to purchase to reach
the observatory deck in order to view the
night view of Seoul.
Shops selling souvenirs
Candies!!!!
We wanted to have a cuppa of coffee to chill
at Namsan Tower but eventually the cafe
has already close. Anyway, also our fault
as we went up too late. =(
Since, we can't chill up there,
we made our way back down and it's another 15 minutes
wait to board the cable car down from Namsan Tower
Here come the cable car!
Another shot at the pavement towards the cable car building
Sister is holding onto Joy (Inside out)
We took our time walking back down from
the cable car building, enjoying the breeze and quiet night.
Sister made a call back to Singapore to check on
my nieces and everything at home and my elder niece was
so excited when she knew I got her Joy from Korea.
We went to Hollys Cafe for some coffee and
the use of their WIFI to play Tsum Tsum
Chocolate Cake
Tiramisu
Watermelon Blend
Ice Chocolate
Ice Matcha Latte
We sat down to chill till the cafe almost closing
and made our back to the hotel.
It was nearly 12 am when we left the cafe.
After we washed up, we need to pack our luggage
as it was our 3rd last day in Seoul
and we will not be going for anymore intense shopping trip.
The last two days are just going to be
really free and easy.
That's all for Day 8
I will be back soon for Day 9 and 10
