언녕하제요!

`

It's already Day 6 in Korea,
time really past fast.

`

Day 6 only had Changdeokgung, the UNESCO
heritage palace and it's also my favourite palace
in Korea even though it is smaller in scale
as compared to Gyeongbokgung.

`
For Day 6, we took a subway from Myeongdong Station to
Jongno-5 ga Station via Seoul Station to get to Gwangjang Market
for brunch.

Gwangjang Market
Direction: Myeongdong Station (Line 4) to Seoul Station (Line 1)
to Jongno-5 ga Station (Line 1), then Exit 8 and walk straight

`
Gwangjang Market comprise of 3 areas: Food, Dried & Wet Goods
and Apparel (Hanbok & Cloth).
Our first destination in Gwangjang Market is obviously the
food area and it was so crowded on the day that we went.
We had to wait for around 5 minutes for a seat at
one of the familiar Ajumma's store that I patronised before

This is the eating area which has many stalls
for you to choose

It's free seating, just take a seat when you see it
Kimchi Chicken Feet (Yum)

Tteokbokki & Kimbap

`
The place also had stalls selling congee and it is a must-try
in Gwangjang Market. I love the Red Bean Congee!
It's sweet and salty at the same time.

`

After our meals, we explore the whole market
and found some persimmon for sales. Sister and Huimin
decided to buy some back to Singapore for Mom.
We finished the exploring the market within 45 minutes
as other than food, the rest are too pricey to even look.

`

We decided to leave Gwangjang Market and head down to
Changdeokgung to sight see the UNESCO heritage building.

`
We took the subway from Jongno-5 ga Station (Line 1) back to Anguk Station (Line 3)
and walked over to the palace which is probably 5 minutes
walk from the station.

While waiting for Sister to come out from
the toilet before going over to the palace

Changdeokgung Palace
Admission Fees: 3000 KWR (Without Secret Garden Tour)
5000 KWR (With Secret Garden Tour)
Direction: Anguk Station (Line 3), Exit 3.
Go straight for about 5 minutes.

Being greeted by the beautiful white cherry blossom

Place where the officials stood waiting for the
Emperor

Rank Number #04 at home! Haha!

I waited damn long for those people to evacuate
so that I can take a clear view

Pink Cherry Blossom!!!

So beautiful right???

The cherry blossom is so beautiful.
How to not cam-whore with it???

A mandatory group shot before leaving Changdeokgung

Jump shot for Huimin!

`

I would seriously recommend people going to
Korea to just visit Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung
will do as they all look pretty alike to each other.
The difference between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung
is the latter are westernize as compared
to Gyeongbokgung. The Emperor used Changdeokgung to meet
with western officials,

`
Next, we headed down to Express Bus Terminal
for some shopping time.
It is a long stretch of underground shopping mall
and price are quite reasonable.
I bought a couple of dresses that can be worn for
casual or work use.

Express Bus Terminal Underground Shopping
Operating Hours: 11am to 10pm
Direction: Express Bus Terminal (Line 3, 7 or 9), Exit 8

`

After walking to the end of the underground,
we sat down at one of the cafe to rest our legs
and ordered a bowl of Bingsu (Again!).
People there might think we are crazy,
the weather is already so cold and yet we are having
something icy cold.

Injeolmi (Almond) Bingsu

Can't wait to enjoy my Bingsu

`

After a short break at the cafe,
we continued walking and now to the other far end
of the underground shopping mall which we hasn't went to.
Sister bought some clothes for my nieces and some cheap and nice
hair accessories. As compared to Dongdaemun, the things sold
in Express Bus Terminal might be a little cheaper.

`

Soon, the shops started to close one by one and we felt a little hungry,
we just went for this random eateries in the
underground mall. We ordered a pork cutlet, kimchi soup and rice
to share among ourselves.

We had a great time shopping at the Express Bus Terminal
till 9 plus 10 pm, then we took the subway back to Myeongdong
to put our shopping bags back to the hotel
before going down to submerged in the nightlife of Myeongdong again.

`
But,
this time round, we went to Line Merchandise Store  and
queued up to take photographs with the giant Brown and Sally
in front of the store.

Line Friends are adorable right?
But too bad they don't have Leonard's plush toy
that I can take photograph with.
I really like Leonard!

`

After visiting Line Merchandise Store
we went around the street of Myeongdong
and we began to eat the street food again.

Honey-glazed fried potato
(P.S I already ate a piece)

The 32 cm Choco-Vanilla ice-cream

I enjoyed having ice-cream in cold weather
where you won't have worry that your ice cream will melt,
which is not going to happened.
I managed to finish the ice-cream before I reached the
hotel and after washing up, I snacked again.
It's a non-stopped snacking trip for me
but  I didn't put on any weight from the trip.

Hoho!

`
Alright!
That's all for Day 6 and I will be
back for Day 7 soon.
`
Stay tuned for Day 7.

`
언녕!
