언녕하세요!
`
The days are passing fast and we are about
to end the Korea trip soon in
another 4 more days.
`
I had my Banana Milk early in the morning
before leaving the hotel for breakfast
It's my forever craving when I am in Korea
and everyday must have one bottle
`
For breakfast,
we went to queue up for Issac!
It's very famous among the locals and
foreigners. Their queue early in the morning is horrendous and
we waited for about 30-45 minutes before we could order ours.
`
Issac Myeongdong Branch
Direction: Myeongdong (Line 4), Exit 6
Walk straight for 10 minutes
Look at the queue! We are at least behind 15 people
Finally reaching the store and able to catch a glimpse
of the menu
Ajumma preparing the bread and eggs for the toast
From opposite the street!
I ordered Potato toast while my sister and Huimin
order Bulgogi MVP. They still don't understand
why would I choose to order Potato Toast instead of others sandwich.
하하!
I am a huge fan of potato and will never take the chance
off any food with potato.
Although, it has no meat just potato but it is still nice.
My Potato Toast (Bread, Cheese, Egg and Hashbrown)
Finally, we get hold of the our piping hot sandwich
Love the sun rays shining
Sister can't wait to satisfy her craving
after months and she has been pestering me
to bring her to get Issac even when we
are still in Singapore
`
We slowly make our way to Namdemun as we enjoyed
our sandwiches on the way. Namdemun is just
walking distance from Myeongdong so don't have to
waste your T-money just to take a stop from Myeongdong.
Namdemun Market
Direction: Hoehyeon Station (Line 4), Exit 5 and 6
`
Our first stop at Namdemun is to visit Shinshigae Departmental Store
as Huimin needs to help her friend get products from Sulwashoo
and apparently only Shinshigae has their counter.
(A little unbelievable)
While, my sister and Huimin were at Sulwashoo,
I went around the different counter trying on their sample products
and am feeling a bit Aunty to do that.
히히!
`
After making payments and getting the Tax Rebate done,
we went shopping at Namdemun Market.
It is a very huge place with at least 3 shopping building selling
from children to adults apparels.
They even have just one entire building dedicated to
children' apparels, which wasn't pricey and you can
bargain a little with the vendor.
`
All the shopping buildings took us at least few hours
to finish looking and exploring the place.
We bought a few pieces of children clothes for the kids
in our life and it's all fashionable clothes.
Coming out from one of the building, we saw this
pushcart selling children clothes at only 5000 KWR per piece.
(Whatt??? Total mind blown)
Of course, we did not missed the chance but I gave up shortly
because the whole pushcart is so messy and everyone
is like digging from under. With my OCD, I can't see myself doing it.
In the end, my sister managed to dig out a few nice tights and clothes
for my nieces .
`
Street market at Namdemun was very huge and sells a variety of stuffs
from clothes to food to cosmetics and souvenirs.
So, I urged you to just get your souvenirs there as
there is no where would see cheaper than Namdemun Market.
`
I bought a couple of traditional purse there for my Mom
to give to her friends as souvenirs from us,
which every single time I would buy and let her give out.
`
Namdemun Market would spend you half a day or more
depending on your shopping speed.
`
After Namdemun Market, we returned back to
the hotel to put down our stuffs from Namdemun
and started chilling in the room before heading out to Dongdaemun
in the evening.
(P.S. It's a relax trip as sister can't be stress.) 하하!
`
Dongdaemun
Direction: Dongdaemun (Line 4), Exit 8 or 9
`
Dongdaemun has 4 shopping malls
(Doota, Migliore, Maxstyle, Good Morning, Hello Apm)
Doota and Maxstyle are more of a high-end shopping
and you can't bargain with the vendors there
so if you are going on a budget trip then you can give these a missed.
As for Migliorie, it is 7 storey high selling from
clothes to accessories to luggages. Most of their items
are of affordable prices and able to bargain.
Some of their styles in Migliorie might not suit the
Singaporean styles and not much of a choice.
I only managed to buy 3 clothes from there
and MANY accessories.
Don't have to worry about time constraint,
they are open till 5 am in the morning so
you can go have dinner or supper then continue
you shopping agenda.
But, for us,
we decided to end our shopping agenda
after we finished with all the malls and head for dinner
at this Korean BBQ restaurant.
First BBQ of the trip
Kimchi Tofu Stew
Beef Soup
The Ajummas there were very friendly and kind.
They taught us how does the locals there
had their BBQ. She even wrapped
the BBQ with rice and vegetable for us, even
feed us with it.
Awww, felt so loved in Korea.
`
After the meal,
we headed back to the hotel to wash up
and catch K-Drama and Produce 101 again.
`
That's always the highlight of the night!
`
That's all for Day 7
and I will be back for Day 8 soon.
